Virtual Road Trips

We have reinvented our popular Road Trips and are moving online to give you an opportunity to interact with social innovators. They'll share their work, their workplaces and how the pandemic has impacted their focus. Join us and learn where social innovation lives on campus and beyond. 

Session 1: Road Trip focused on Social Enterprises

Thursday February 25, 5:30-7PM
This virtual event will explore how businesses can be a force for good. Whether you are thinking of starting a social enterprise or working for a business with an ESG mandate you'll benefit from this session.

You’ll be introduced to entrepreneurship incubator/accelerators that exist at UofT and beyond. You'll meet founders of startups that focus on social impact and you'll hear from people involved in sustainable finance, where investment funds target social good.

Session 2: Road Trip focused on Health/Mental Health

Wednesday March 24, 5:30-7PM

The pandemic has heighted the focus on health and mental health systems worldwide. People are seeing inequity and inefficiency and challenging existing methods and resources. Social innovation is focused on solving some of these issues.

This virtual event let's you meet people who have committed their careers to public health. We will hear from start ups, non profits, research organizations and resources on campus what a day in their life is like and how the pandemic has impacted their work.
